As 2018 draws to a close we take a moment to catch a breath to reflect on 2018, with it being our busiest year to date!
January – This record year started with a recruitment drive, with the contracts that we already had in the order book 2018, it was clear that we were going to busy and needed more groundworkers to join our highly skilled team. The number of people recruited exceeded 15 by the end of the year.
February – With the work well and truly flowing after the Christmas break, EvaBuild focused on mental health joining industry charity mates in mind to help us support our workers. EvaBuild also visited a local school to help them construct the ICE bridge & inspire the next generation of civil engineers.
March – The cold snap & the snow arrived in this month, with our site teams doing their best to work in the conditions where safe, but inevitably the conditions slowed us down. Towards the end of the month the EvaBuild we wear the same shirt football tournament finally went ahead to raise awareness of mental health. Finishing the month on a high we gained Constructionline Gold!
April – EvaBuild was accredited with BS8555 Environmental Management after a lot of hard work put in to make sure that everything was in place. With the conditions bettering, some of our major projects for the year started, along with our busy period which hasn’t stopped since!
May – EvaBuild celebrated its 7th birthday by continuing its recruitment drive, which was only testament to how far the company has come since Nick set the company up 7 years ago.
June – A big month, as EvaBuild gained its first ISO accreditation, this was a huge achievement showing that the company works to that standard. EvaBuild hasn’t stopped there & is now working towards two more ISO accreditation’s, which we hope to gain in the New year.
July – Summer, school broke up & a lot of jobs started in this period with tight schedules for the work to be completed before school started again in September.
August – EvaBuild rebranded! After 7years, EvaBuild had outgrown its branding & the rebrand has now set the company up for the future & the companies next period of growth. The rebrand was complete with a brand new website which you see today.
September – AWARDS! Another successful year for the EvaBuild team as it wins the Entrepreneurship Award at the Powys Business Awards! This is a massive well done to all the EvaBuild employees for making it happen. EvaBuild also made its annual donation to the international tree foundation so they can plant trees where EvaBuild haven’t been able to after completing jobs.
October – With some of our team already ex forces, EvaBuild joined the Armed Forces Covenant as a commitment to support & show that we are a forces friendly company.
November – Following EvaBuild’s rebrand, all of the old uniform was donated to Care 4 Calais to help support the refugees, as the temperatures this Winter.
December – As our record year comes to a close there are no signs of the things slowing down & we look forward to breaking more records in 2019!
EvaBuild would like to thank everyone who made 2018 possible with a massive thank you going out to all the EvaBuild staff in particular.
